It’s been a while since the last update so here goes. The album is about 9 songs in and we are working on 3-4 more songs, plus some instrumental pieces. We are also planning on playing live in Tokyo in the upcoming months as well. Video Shoot for "Constant" Day 1 from Hiroumi's...

UmiKebuのKevinさんが今住んでる栃木県佐野で， UmiKebuの歌の映像を撮ることに。軽く見てたら，軽く2時間の小旅行。。。凄く静かな良い所で，この静かさと都会の絵を混ぜたら面白いんじゃないって，軽く言ったら，「よし，今から渋谷に行こう！」ってことに。「軽く」に注意。でもこのノリ好き。またまた電車に揺られて昼過ぎには渋谷。ここで歌うシーンを撮ったときは，最初ちょっと「恥ずかしい？」って思ったけど，どうせ誰も知らない人達だしって思ったらどうでもよくなって，ヘッドホン着けて歌うふりしてたら，「何やってんだ？」ってチラチラって見てくる人達が面白くて。写真右上のプロジェクターの様にいつか僕も映ると良いな ^-^ Kevin，お疲れ～。 Visit Hiroumi’s site now!

Video Shoot for "Constant" Day 1

Last Sunday we shot some footage for “Constant.” The locations were in Sano, Tochigi and Shibuya, Tokyo. There is still some extra B-roll to be picked up and the final sequences. It should be available for posting. In no less than 720p!!

Finally got a domain name. umikebu.com It links to this site for now. Using the tumblr format for this page is a hell of a lot easier than doing html editing. If anyone knows how i can stretch this current theme I’m using to make the posts wider, please let me know.

Sleeves!

Just finished a song. It’s kind of a laid back tune. The mysterious artist I had mentioned before was of course, Sleeves. It’s an amazing song and there is a small chance that you can hear it during Ron and Fez tomorrow during the wedding of Elizabeth and Bill. Not too sure if it will be on the radio then, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

Still working

Still teaching everyday and working on music. The artist that I mentioned before is Sleeves. I’ve received a work in progress track from him yesterday and I can tell you that it is amazing! I would have never of thought that this song could sound so beautiful but with his voice and thoughtful lyrics it is just that. Beautiful.

UPDATES!

Just got a few more vocalists to contribute. One of them I am VERY excited about having on the album! Can’t say much yet as the track is not complete but his wonderful, gruff and distinct voice is amazing! You may notice some remixes I’ve done here for JPOP. A site is born!

Here is the home for UmiKebu. A music group started by APXmusic and Hiroumi from the Japanese band, “Secret Ocean” We are looking forward to an album release by next summer. Stay tuned for more info.
